Frankly neither can I see anyone else doing it. Like Dominic states here, to get it right Jackson would at least have to produce. If he's going to get involved, then he might as well get completely involved. You would think after creating his "baby" here he wouldn't want to leave someone else to take care of his creation. Cause Middle Earth DOES belong to Jackson now. If he doesn't do it, I think some people are going to be very disappointed.
I could definitely see that after watching him play Jesse James.
lol Whatever you want to call it. Columbine kids also listened to Marilyn Manson. Let me guess, you're one of those to blame Manson for what those kids did? Or...does that mean all people who watch hentai are pedos? One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. There's a reason the horror genre exists, because people like being scared. There's a reason roller coasters are the biggest hits at amusement parks: people like the rush of being scared. Enjoy the rush of fear (while kn...
It made me have to go watch Wicker Man again to see if it was as bad as I remembered. It was. I had to watch Memento and Pi afterwards (which I was inspired to watch again due to another article on this site) just to "cleanse my palate".
Definitely a lost art. At least Hollywood has lost it completely, the rest are slowly losing it. Japan probably has the greatest hang of it still these days. I was actually talking about this with a friend earlier today. She thought I was crazy because of it too lol because I'm craving seeing a movie that does horror so well that I'm actually scared like they could back in the day. I want one of those movies that just terrorizes you. The type that instills such fear in you that it for...
Finding Nemo. God I hate that movie these days for this very reason. I used to babysit my niece and nephew all the time and they would want to watch Finding Nemo everyday like 4 times a day. It drove me mad.
Sad state of affairs when your top two are Expendables and Vampires Suck. They do have this list out of order though as noticed by the weekend numbers. Eat Pray Love should be above Lottery Ticket and Nanny McPhee should be above The Switch.
Some of my favorite actors around today right here. Nice list. Some very good actors with a true passion for their craft and art. Gervais might be my favorite comedic actor today. Hanks, Murray and Bridges old school legends. Norton and Day-Lewis have really solidified their amazing actor status in recent years. DiCaprio could be argued as one of the greater actors of our generation. Viggo and Brody are both that I feel do very good jobs but aren't appreciated as much as I feel they shoul...
Looks like it may be interesting. Though also looks like it could border on the "same old crap we see over and over again, just recycled in a different way" as well. But I've enjoyed the two other Brad Anderson movies I've seen Machinist and Transsiberian. He can have a decent knack for suspense and thriller at times when he wants. Should be interesting to see more on this maybe. Though it's looking like it could end up heading the "generic" route. And I do not...
HAHA@No stars out of five. I knew this would be crap but that's hilarious. Not sure I've ever seen a rating like that before. Seriously though, they have to get off of this "spoof" kick. Epic Movie, Date Movie, Disaster Movie. It's all been garbage. These guys need to seriously give it up. Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer do NOT know comedy. Though they sure do know how to beat a dead horse. It's over, they should drop it and move on.
And here is why you're going to see the 3D gimmick being exploited ad nauseam. Whether it makes sense or is needed or not, we'll be seeing it more and more.
Love John Carpenter, if for no other reason than for bringing us Halloween. Probably my favorite horror/slasher franchise of all time. So definitely don't mind him being at the top. And Romero is just a legend, so obviously. I, however, would definitely not have Raimi that high up that list. And especially not above Hitchcock and Craven. In fact, the guys I just mentioned (minus Raimi) would probably be my top 5. And Hooper definitely belongs there for the two movies mentioned. Though I h...
He needs something totally different from Potter to be able to "reinvent" himself of sorts or his career is ultimately done probably. If he can't shake the stigma of Potter then I think he'll prove to be a one-hit wonder so to speak. Not that his Potter performance is a bad thing, he does it very well. But as of right now he's not Daniel Radcliffe...he's Harry Potter. He needs something to bring him back to being Daniel Radcliffe. A role that's completely opposit...
I would love to see another Hellboy. I can understand Perlman's stance in that...6hours of makeup? God that's brutal. But to see another Hellboy (even if it is the last) would be great. Be good to put a proper finish to the series too.
I would definitely like to see her in some more things. She did such a good job with the Salander character.
She may look good in platinum blond hair, but she was not for this part. There are far better out there. Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, Kate Bosworth....honestly Christina Aguilera would make a good one if she could actually act.
lol "The GodFocker". This should be pretty funny. The dynamics between Stiller and DeNiro have always provided some good laughs in this franchise. And the all-thumbs/accident-prone Greg trying to take the "big man" role and walk in Jack's footsteps should be amusing to watch.
Always gotta do a sequel don't they. Especially with these comic book movies. The first one wasn't great. Though Cage had his moments. Don't really have high hopes at all for this one to be any better.
This is really good news for MGM. Would hate to see such a studio go.
I bet this should be a real nice treat on Blu-ray. Never actually seen the second one, but enjoyed Fantasia. In hi-def though, that should be very nice.
