Wow...to think the Razzie Academy could have the audacity/stupidity to vote against the direction of Scarface and The Shining. I'm at a loss for words.

Agree with that point. Modern movie-making seems to be going after those Inception-esque blockbusters less and less in today's age. There has to be some established base before so many original IPs can get off the ground with a big budget.

Seems that people can't get enough of the YA genre atm.

Some interesting choices. That Nightcrawler pic is pretty cool too.

I figured you squeeze about 20 out of it. Such a bad movie.

Not much that I'm interested in or haven't seen besides Life Itself. Heard that was a great documentary.

Very good news. Hope to see what Blomkamp pulls off with it, especially with such material as Weyland-Yutani and that corporate enterprise.

All this talk about how dreadful Aline 3 + Res. are makes me tempted to watch them myself. :P

Shots fired!

But I can understand where he's coming from. Heck, even Birdman played to that tune here and there.

It seems like the snobbish just want to point at the sub-genre as "everything that's wrong with filmmaking today" just because that's the thing to do.

Certainly an impressive box-office run. I wouldn't say Hollywood's "somewhat ignoring it" when it has quite a few Oscar Nominations. As far as Iraq War films go, I think it's only second to The Hurt Locker in that regard.

I'd hope to see Matt Reeves as the choice (if this list was true).

I'm not sure if JL operates things differently over here, but that's happened to me on N4G (Blog + review).

In fact, there doesn't seem to be any caveats listed that one couldn't win in all 3 categories listed above (though it is very improbable).

Congrats to winners.

Wow...haven't even heard of this until now. Awesome coincidence and thanks for recommending this one.

I honestly don't see what the big deal is in accomplishing a 100% on there anyways. Having some critics not recommend seeing the film doesn't discount what the average viewer might think of it.

Even some of those 100%-ers aren't all that great.

No it can't do it. Several critics on there have very specific biases when ti comes to sci-fi films.

Wow...need even going to give them 3 years apart. As excited as I am for Star Wars, I don't like how similar to an assembly line these SW films are starting to look.

Hopefully it delvers more than The Dark World. It wasn't bad, but it could have been much better in build-up, antagonist, and character drama.

I still don't get what the fuss is about with the supposed terrible quality of Ep. 1. It wasn't that sharp but to be deemed hopeless just from that seems a bit stretched.

I hope to see him back on his feet directing good movies again. He had such a good start.
