The original blink could be explained by multiple swords, typically they have multiple swords or guns in any production, hyper detailed ones for close ups (hero models) and less detailed models for long shots (makes it lighter for actors to do dozens of takes). This on the other hand is probably a lighting issue and now everybodies looking at the sword noticing this stuff, I wonder if anybody can be bother checking previous seasons footage?
