Well, it's sort of like Star Trek meets Marvel...why not?

Plus...Zoe Saldana.

Sad part is he is an ok actor. But he's digging his own grave more and more by doing all of this random, outlandish stuff.

I think a lot of it is him trying to distance himself form the Transformers Shia we know (although I don't think anyone cared either way). At least Phoenix was able to make a successful comeback....I don't think it's Shia's time yet.

I'm excited for this movie personally as I love that this series is kind of like a mix of Star Trek with Super Heroes. A lot of interesting casting choices too.

I think the chances of a great Akira movie are a long-shot. However, I could see it working if they were able to do it right with the right actors. Unfortunately, I don't believe the 2011 movie would have been worthy of praise and like Halo- I think pulling the plug was the best decision as the movie itself was just too much to undertake in terms of production.

Slow start as usual (in terms of story) and the audience is always there. Especially since they've been promoting the premiere since November.

Interesting...I see what they are going for. I'll be checking it out when it premieres.

Sam brings up a good point...how the hell did he not know who he was and he was the Entertainment segment anchor.

I think Affleck will do fine. My one critique is that Affleck can do a few movies as Batman before he bows out and we get another actor playing Batman inevitably. Why go through this again in a few years? Why not build something more substantial and cast a younger Batman who would grow into the role?

They shot for star power- mainly Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg (in effort to compete with Avengers 2)...that's my guess. I'm ok with these casting decisions based off the ...

It wasn't an option, Superman was forced to kill Zod. It was that or let an innocent die. After doing so, he took his stance on the never killing.

But looking at Zod's character, he's actually not the worst enemy or threat to Earth & Superman. Superman has some big foes in his line-up.

Clearly, no-one here has read the comic book. Carl gets injured and loses his BLANK.

Be interesting to see her and Rudd. And she seems like someone who would likely reprise the role again if need be.

He's a great fit...certainly works well and I like the John Stewart version of GL more than Hal Jordan anyhow.

Didn't have high hopes for this.

Add this to the "was this necessary?" remake pile...

Wow...this is what happens when the wrong studios get control of franchises they know nothing about.

A female Doctor Doom? Sue and Johnny are brother and sister..I don't even know where to begin. This sounds like an abomination. And frankly, with 2 prior FF movies...I'm not sure this is even necessary. We've seen all they have to offer, Doom and Surfer. It's been done before.

It's almost as if they've decided to just ignore everything...

I'm leaning towards him playing a villain. It sounds like they've done a lot of casting for the heroes already as-is. He has done plenty of those enemy roles and is pretty damn good at it.

He'll probably play some sort of Palpatine-like enemy.

Idea for script: read someone else s script and say they stole it from you.

Yeah, but unlike the marvel movies, they are using one character to introduce multiple characters at once. It's still a Superman movie at it's core, but it will shape future films of other characters based off of this film. Batman has a big role in the film but Superman is the foundation either way for what is to come. There is always the chance that they may not get off to a good start either and I imagine Batman has concerns about Superman, so I stand by the 'VS' title.

Batman VS Superman would be a significantly better title...

Fight or Flight sounds like the cheap movie/game-tie in they would make based off of the movie itself.

I personally don't think it is even that hard to top any of the prior Superman movies...
