No, because we aren't forced to watch them and they don't magically remove the others from existence. Best case scenario I have 2 fantastic films. Worst case scenario I still have 1 fantastic film. It seriously does no harm.
I loved Luke as a character but he never felt like he was in any real danger in the show, even when his big bad came along at the end. The characters were solid but the execution fell short.

While some things in the last season I didn't care for (the fate of Locke for example) I liked the ending.
I'm glad the show has caught up with the books so they'll stop spoiling it for everybody. I wish more fanbases would have a sense of harmony and appreciation for their fellow fans.
I loved this movie when I was a kid, and I loved Southpaw. Looking forward to the remake. The cast is looking good, but Yul's gonna be tough to top imo.
