The movie was ok, in my opinion.
Yeah, the effects & action scenes were good, but the story & plot only reminded me of a combination of the movies I Am Legend & 28 Days Later.
Not to spoil the movie, but if you seen the three, then you can definitely see the similarities.

I think what helped make the original so scary was the fact that it was genuinely scary!
What you were looking at was scary & what was about to happen was scary. It did'nt rely heavily on shock value or "pop-up" horror (aah, a face pop'd up from somewhere & I was'nt supposed to expect it).
I'm really hoping that they can retain this in the remake. The trailer looks very promising, but we all know how easily it can go all wrong.

I think the main characters (Snake, Colonel, Meryl...) should all be newcomer actors/actresses who can really act.
Meryl's character HAS to be sexy & no-BS tough. Also, prefer for her to be an natural redhead, but if necessary, bleach & dye will just have to do.
Again, don't want no 'famous' actor playing Snake. It will draw too much unnecessary attention around the actor & not really focus on the story.

I tend to keep having this argument with an close friend of mine;
He wholeheartedly believes that Lucious Fox (or Alfred, he changes it up sometimes) is actually "the" dark knight, & that Batman is just Batman.
He claims that he read this detail in an very old Batman comic.
His logic is that Batman has the riches, but Lucious (or Alfred) is the actual architect & brains behind Batmans' gear & tech.
