Marvel had a few stinkers when it got its film universe going too. Iron Man started it off great but then there was the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2 & 3 and both of the Thor movies. I'd rather watch any of the DCEU films again than those disasters. And its not just limited to comic book films. Harry Potter 1 & 2 were pretty disappointing too. My point is that all film universes start off badly because the film makers are too concerned with future films and not focused on the film t...
We need this remake even LESS than the Ghostbusters and Ben-Hur remakes. Still kinda meh on the Magnificent Seven remake but it could be worth it. But still, Hollywood needs some new ideas. Stop remaking things that were already done right the first time. If you simply must to do a remake then focus on things that flopped and try to do them better, not things that were already great. Try doing a remake of
Howard the Duck
Masters of the Universe
Young Guns...
The DCEU doesn't need saving.
What we need is better film critics. There is no way in hell that BvS or Suicide Squad deserved to have a 26% Tomatometer. Both films have much higher audience scores (Man of Steel also has a much higher audience score). Clearly, the critics got it wrong. We saw the same thing in the 80's when action films started becoming popular. Anybody remember the critic reviews for Predator?
Critics get tired of seeing certain...
I thought it was a huge step up from Man of Steel (which I liked) but the reviews so far on RT are even worse than what MoS got. It's just wrong...
Did these people see the same movie?
This article was written by a hater who knows so little about Superman it's embarrassing. She keeps saying he's not "relatable" as a character. Granted a lot of comic book characters are made to be relatable but not Superman. Expecting him to be relatable is entirely missing the point.
Superman is someone you aspire to be like, not someone you see yourself as. And he is not the only character in comics that fits this mold. Thor, The Vision and Captain Ameri...
For me it goes like this:
1. TESB
2. ANH
3. RotJ

What prequels? I don't remember any such thing. I don't know what you are talking about... It NEVER happened! I can't hear you! Jar Jar is a lie!!!
I don't know... I like Darkseid as a villain far more than Thanos and I really don't care if it might be confusing to certain viewers. They'll catch up. Darkseid is the original and I think it if he's done right, he'll be like a far more terrifying Darth Vader and more memorable than that big purple dumbass Thanos.
The thing is there were several moments in MoS with bits of humor and levity.
"You should stand back... maybe a little more"
"Why are you smiling captain!" "Nothing sir, I just... think he's kinda hot..."
and a bunch of other moments too.
It's just that MoS dealt with very serious issues which were mostly a first for a Superman film. Genocide, free will vs breeding and perhaps darkest of all, Superman h...
You know it's very possible that once Batman vs Superman and Suicide Squad release in 2016, whatculture.com will suddenly start pumping out articles about how Marvel should be more like DC and how DC is more popular and whatnot.
They really are all about what is trendy at the moment with not a care about what is coming soon.
I did not think ignorance of this magnitude was possible...
This article is proof positive that whatculture.com is overrun by Marvel fanboys. Every one of these "reasons" is categorically false and displays the most blatant jealousy and fanboyism the internet can provide. And that's saying something...
Avoid clicking at all costs. Do not feed this Marvel troll.
I don't remember anyone hating Batman Beyond. I remember being very curious how a future Batman would work, but it was being made by the same guys that did BTAS, STAS and Justice League. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
And after 2 episodes, I was hooked. Terry McGuiness was so much more interesting than any of the previous Robins and the new suit was just iconic as all hell. The movie "Return of the Joker" was fantastic as well.

Ahhhh Hollyweird...
Doing films and then vehemently denouncing them never stops being hilarious. I know you have to be weird otherwise people wouldn't pay $10 a ticket, but it's funny anyway. Don't ever change.
Huh?
Superman: The Movie - Superman Returns were one continuity. This is the first Superman reboot.
Also, happy 75th, Supes! May we all look so good at 75.
Ummm... how does boring cliched story telling with pretty CGI help the world?
Oh did he say help my wallet?
I must have misunderstood.
I want more Aquaman dammit!
