I’m so tired of these “boycotts” and “reviewbombing” bullshit. Get over yourself fanboys! Some movies are good, some are bad, some are better then others. It’s okay to like what you like. Your not helping litteraly ANYTHING.

Morons still don't get they cry about "Sony" taking Spider-man away from the MCU...THEY STILL OWN THE MOVIE RIGHTS PERIOD....Sony got every cent from Homecoming, Marvel only gets to use him in MCU films, Sony has total control over the solo Spider-man films. Sony could wake up tomorrow and say never mind were taking our character back, and there is nothing Marvel could do about it.....

I think you're misunderstanding here. Isn't that the entire point of the boycott? Sony controls Spider-Man and can pull the plug on MCU Spider-Man at any point after homecoming 2; a successful venom movie makes it more likely Sony will pull the plug; ergo boycott venom. Now it's also the case that Sony has final say on any solo movies so they already have some control but most of the creative decisions are currently made by feige which would naturally no longer be the case if Sony started making Spider-Man movies "in house" again. I want to clarify that I think all boycotts are stupid especially movie boycotts. In this case it's even more dumb because if/when Sony do decide to pull the plug on MCU Spider-Man Disney will probably just buy them (Sony studios has been making very little money as of late and the main corporation is looking to sell, go figure).

@bass4g,

Sony is currently sitting on the biggest box office surprise of the year with Jumanji . . . They're in the best spot they've been in for years.

bass4g2284d ago

@The 10th Rider didnt realise how well that had actually done. The question is though if that's enough to counteract the losses they made in the years prior and whether or not Sony is still looking to sell. It could be with that and venom that this is a turning point for the studio but I doubt it. Either way I reckon it would be a hell of a lot cheaper to acquire than fox was.

1:16 when marvel fanboys see the venom movie going ahead.

killswitch802284d ago (Edited 2284d ago )

what a bunch of morons ...the film could be amazing for all we know and I like the horror/ monster movie vive they are going for. Go do something more productive with your lives than this cry baby shit.

_LarZen_2284d ago

LOL....someone need to get out more.

Venom exists and is driven solely by hate for spiderman....without this back story it simply isn't a venom movie. It's a horror movie aping a name to sell tickets. Imagine a movie called Marty McFly that doesn't include, mention, involve Doc Brown and only focuses on Marty's band. That is the level of nonsense this movie is. Sony already said no spiderman in this as well. So......people bashing me and others for questioning the obvious lack of logic in this movies direction only proves how little you know about this character, which to fanboys makes you appear as dumb as you're all calling us because you're clueless. Unless you're cool with this not being a venom movie, but yet it's called Venom.....
