‘The Founder’ Starring Michael Keaton Pushed To December For Oscar-Qualifying Run

The Weinstein Company is moving its Oscar hopeful The Founder, starring Michael Keaton in the role of McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc, off its August 5 date. The plan is to push it to December 16 for an Oscar-qualifying run before going wide January 20. This is the second time the company has changed the release date; the film was originally going to drop at Thanksgiving, and then was moved to August.
