Deadline:
Rupert Wyatt(Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes) is set to direct Fox’s drama pilot The Exorcist, a modern reinvention inspired by William Blatty’s 1971 book. Written by Jeremy Slater, The Exorcist is described as a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession and confronting the face of true evil. Wyatt also helmed 2014 pic The Gambler.
Jeff Blitz has signed on to direct NBC pilot The Trail, a documentary-style procedural comedy from Jeff Astrof and Matt Miller. The Trail, whose title is a scrambled version of Trial, is a serialized comedy following a young big-city lawyer and his oddball defense team during a high profile murder trial in a small southern town.
The Doomsday Cult of Antares De La Luz Review: The documentary explores how the cult members were coerced in the group and made accomplice of heinous crimes.
Don’t let the cringey awkwardness of The Office fool you: Michael Scott would actually be the perfect boss.
City Hunter Review: The manga adaptation unravels the tragic beginning of Ryo Saeba and Kaori Makimura's partnership.
I would watch the Excorcist to see if it was any good....hopefully is will be.
