Deadline: Funny Or Die is expanding its content creation operation, announcing this morning that exec Chris Bruss has received a promotion to President of Digital Content, while Gary Sanchez Creative Director Owen Burke has been hired as the company’s first-ever Editor in Chief of Content.
Netflix picked up Funny or Die's mock talk show, Between Two Ferns, for a full length film and every minute was excruciatingly cringe-worthy and unfunny.
Thanks for the warning but it's on Netflix so, um, OF COURSE IT'S WOKE AND TERRIBLE.

Paramount has acquired an untitled pitch for a comedy that will star Will Ferrell and Aquaman‘s Jason Momoa. Andy Mogel & Jarrad Paul will write it and Nick Stoller and Gary Sanchez will produce. They are keeping the logline under wraps but when it was being pitched, sources described it as Galaxy Quest meets Ocean’s Eleven, with Ferrell a washed up TV star reuniting with his now grown TV show son (Momoa) who has become a huge star.
