Deadline: “Television is where it’s at right now; the best things are on TV,” Extant star Halle Berry told a packed Ballroom 20 today in kicking off the CBS mega-panel in San Diego. “TV is the new frontier, the best writing is on TV. There’s great writing for women, women like me — my age, my ethnicity — to play great complicated characters.” The Oscar winner also said she took her role as an executive producer on the show very seriously. “I like having some creative involvement not just being the dancing bear,” she said, noting her role in bringing in the show’s reboot for its recently debuted Season 2.
