There's a certain suspension of disbelief required to enjoy any show or movie, but especially a genre one. You have to accept that a man can fly, wizards exist or that time travel can be achieved. The Strain, of course, asks us to believe that vampires are real. Going along with a story like this usually means you also have to grant some leeway when it comes to what is or isn’t realistic, and this series is no exception.
