Well, I'm not a gamer and I watched some of the shorts that were played here on filmwatch but I just got confused. I think I just need to get the dvd from the beginning and try to get all the characters right.

right, well thats to be expected, theres only a blu-ray version i havent seen any dvd copies when i preordered it

yeah it just gives you some of the background on each character on how they came to be before they got into thier iconic idenity if that makes any sense

as far as i understand my self, i consider these prior events before the big story happens in this case a Mortal Kombat tournament

if you like i would suggest watching the 1995 mortal kombat movie to get the idea of it, its simple and doesnt take itself too seriosly

theres always wikipedia that has decent spot on background on to about any character you dont understand though it may not be the exact same thing transition onto screen for obvious reasons

i hope this in some way helps nobody likes a potiental fan lost like me lol
