Gilliam pretty much hits the nail straight on the head with every point here, especially on Tintin.
Legend of Chun Li was supposedly inspired by Batman Begins, so I'll take this with a pinch of salt.
If any of this is legit, then I can clearly see Damon Lindelof high-fiving himself with the sentence "and she transforms into... the STAR BEAST".
Reads like fan fiction, not buying it. Then again, we've been wrong before.
It does look very How To Train Your Dragon certainly (plus the presence of Craig Ferguson doesn't assuage comparisons).
The biggest problem for me is the whole 'princess proves herself' story we've seen a million times before (Eowyn in LOTR etc). Why not just do away with that and tell a straight quest with the same character? That would undoubtedly be more empowering.
Not excited about this one. Looks ugly and the story is redundant, next.
Oddly enough, I think most fans of the original feel the same way. Just get it over with lol.
The casting (if any of it is to believed) stinks of nothing less than typcasting.
Who's looked cool on a bike recently? Garrett Hedland, make him Kaneda.
Who's weird, spooky and a bit emo? Ezra Miller, we have our Tetsuo!
Notwithstanding the fact that the hack directing this (one of Luc Besson's B-movie protoges, a list that includes Pierre Morel, Olivier Megaton et al) will turn this into generic, bleach-bypassed, chaos cinema hogwash. Th...
Interesting article, although I can't help but think that it cuts itself off a little too early. Seems like there's more to tell.
I can see this pairing of director + material working, although I can't see that it'll be very unique. Yates always seemed like a gun for hire to me.
Dr Who needs someone like Matthew Vaughn, or if you want to verge outside of the ballpark: Sam Raimi.
I stand corrected :)
"excrescence"?
Might want to correct that.
The poster isn't even unique, its just the DVD/Blu-ray cover.
Because we all cared so much the first time lol
Now this is good news :D
The presense o J-Lo just killed this. This could have been a good property to revive under the right circumstances. It's no surprise Walden Media have gotten their hands on it, given their core values.
And there I was thinking this was about giant radioactive ants :(
Disney* Vault
Well, that's, shrewd.
Warners pulling a 'Disey Vault'?
The inclusion of Harry Potter and co' in this list seems fanboyish. I have to second movieshateyoutoo's point regarding Kirk, Bones and the green-blooded hobgoblin.
'Accuses'? I think we're past accusation by this point.
