I really just want to know what options did Superman have to stop the battle? Kryptonite wasn't an option, and the Phantom Zone was already used to take out Zod's army. It just came down to the two Kryptonians battling it out with the Earth falling apart between them. Zod wasn't going to stop to let Superman find out all the answers. Zod threaten him to make the choice and Superman made the only choice he could make. Superman released Zod from the predetermined burden that Krypton...
Big Budget Superhero movies are currently the highest grossing movies around the world. With the proper treatment, they can produce a ton of profit. Especially dibbs on sequels. Even if the sequel is crappy, people are going to line up to watch it to see what went wrong for themselves.
I waited in line for hours to see Spider-man 3...oh how I want those hours back.
What other choices did Superman have?
Didn't Raditz attempt to kill his own nephew Gohan as well?
I agree with you on some of the points you made. The movie wasn't perfect, but it was well worth the price of admission just for the action. I really want to go give it another watch. Zack Snyder has officially become the best director for super kinect action scenes in the business.
Cap's new suit looks similar in design to his current suit in the comics. Hmm, not bad. As long as the design is based off something that he wore in the comic.

Okay, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.
There was no other way. Zod's wouldn't have stopped because his programmed purpose was to maintain Krypton no matter what.
Now that I think about, wasn't Kal-El all of Krypton since he absorbed the remnants of all Kryptonian Heirs in his cells? So Zod would've been force to protect Kal-El in a way.
I always associated Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch with the X-Men division of Marvel, more so than the Avengers division. Should be interesting to see what Whedon has in store for the characters.
Judging by the clothes, it looks like it. http://www.spidermancrawlsp...
I thought Ghost Protocol was good. I thought Brad Bird did an excellent job directing the movie.
There's a few nitpick I have with the X-Men movies. Wolverine's screen time is one of them. Sure we all love the character, but the focus is on him 80% of all the movies. There's hardly time to build the other characters that make the X-Men, or introduce new characters properly into the team. (Gambit/Jubilee/Colossus/Angel )
We all knew Wolverine was eventually going to get his own standalone series of movies to explain his origins. I just wish it was all done pro...
I don't have the best confidence in this movie, but I hope it turns out better than I expected. I always welcome pleasant surprises when I have low expectations for a movie.
Competing with the original TMNT movies is an uphill battle. Those movies were my favorite when I was a kid. Maybe the new movie will get into the aliens and different dimensions. Something the original movies didn't get into.
Planet Hulk is a really good comic series. It's similar to John Carter, but with Hulk. I enjoyed it very much.
Hmm...well. It seems as though they just took a shot of her on the street. I was kinda expecting to see April, not Megan Fox. You know? This April.
The only thing that concerns me about the film so far is Josh Trank as the director. Giving the Fantastic Four to a guy with one movie under him is a risky move to me. Chronicle was good, but it was hard to get a sense of his directing ability. The found footage type of filming is limited to a first person perspective and we have yet seen anything else he has done beyond that. Hopefully he does a great job.
Keep in mind, Avatar reintroduced 3-D to the movie industry. The price of admission was raised for the 3-D and boosted their profits exponentially. There's a possibility that it may have been a one trick pony for 3-D. It's really difficult to say if that's the case though. We won't really know until we see the results of the sequel. Hopefully, it'll be good.
After the first 2 Iron Man movies Tony already faced off against guys in their own suits. If they didn't change it up people would have been upset about him fighting another guy in a suit.
"So he fights another guy in his own iron man suit again?! Lame!" *More internet rants*
Where's Black Panther?
Depp's looks and actions are too similar to his previous role as Captain Jack Sparrow. I never really felt motivated to go to the theater and watch him do the same thing over again in another movie. It seems like a good rental though.
