I don’t mean physical smiling, I get that, and his smile has that dark sadistic tone that Leto tried desperately to have. I mean make up wise. A couple of Caesar Romero style points on the edge of his lips wouldn’t hurt. I get they’re trying to possibly mimic Joker’s early appearances, but he was almost always shown with a large creepy grin. I guess after Leto, I was hoping for more than red lipstick
Got it. I forget, to kids millennials, he’s just the Regular Prince of Crime. No mallets, no acid squirting orchids, no gaudy purple and green get up, no clownish features, no bad jand tasteless jokes, no sadistic sense of humor. I guess that’s the joke. Derp indeed.
Performance wise, that’s a given as Leto was the worst. Look wise he’d be solid if, oh I dunno, THEY GAVE HIM A FRICKIN SMILE!!! What’s with Hollywood being afraid of making the Clown Prince of Crime an actual clown?

Also cuz Marvels movies are better. I’m a DC fan but I can’t deny the craptacular spectacles that is the extended universe. It’s sad when I’d rather watch Batman and Robin over Batman Vs Superman. Maybe Nolan set the bar too high with his Batman.
I looooved the prequels. I never cared for Star Wars and then bam, Lucas opened my eyes. Episode 1 is definitely my favorite Star Wars movie out of the 8.
Nevermind AAAO, those turtle designs are the worst since New Mutation. Even the recent movies look decent in comparison. I disagree with Raphael being the leader and NOT having sais. This looks awful.

Most of the problems people have with this movie were themes presented within. Luke not being true to the character is bs,cuz I feel that he was true, just not true to the “legend” of Luke Skywalker, which was his character’s theme. Another theme that addressed problems. Letting the past die. This is Ren’s, Rey’s, Dameron, and Finn’s trilogy, not Luke, Leia’s, or Han Solo’s story.
