I’m told that Dimension Films allegedly no longer has the rights to Halloween. I got nervous even writing that sentence.
Yes, if true, Michael Myers will no longer be controlled by The Weinstein Company, who has been behind the franchise for 20 years. They first produced the 1995 Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, the sixth film in the franchise, and have since gone on to deliver us Halloween H20: 20 Years Later and Halloween: Resurrection, as well as Rob Zombie’s Halloween remake and its sequel, H2.
Phil Writes: Halloween is a time for revisiting horror franchises. After all, it’s the one time of year when it’s not only socially acceptable to power through marathon horror movie sessions, but actually encouraged.
