In this edition of The Weekly Set, we discuss the winner of our Fall 2014 Show Club, Twin Peaks. We will be watching 6 episodes of Twin Peaks every week, and then posting our discussions of the episodes in that week’s Weekly Set roundtable. We would then like to engage you, our readers, in on the conversation with us in the comments. Those of you interested in participating, we will be discussing the first 6 episodes of the series next week on October 10th. Episodes of the series can be streamed on Netflix, Hulu Plus, or through various pay per episode services, such as Amazon Instant, and iTunes.
Is the new Star Wars spinoff, The Acolyte, good? Or is it just another way for Disney to capitalize on a dying franchise?
The latest Star Wars live-action series has landed on Disney+ – Star Wars: The Acolyte! RPadTV host Raymond Padilla enlisted fellow longtime videogame journalist Paul Semel and PR maven MacLean Marshall to talk about the first two episodes. Although we’re only two episodes (of eight) in, the boys were thrilled by The Acolyte’s excellent start.
Raymond Padilla, Paul Semel, and Mac Marshall will discuss what they thought of the first two episodes, including what they liked, what they didn’t like, initial impressions of The Acolyte’s characters, how it compares to other Star Wars live-action shows, and more. They’ll also share their theories on how the series will end (this will be fun to revisit in July).
40 years after its release, we look back and everything that made Ghostbusters so amazing–and how it can never be replicated again.
