This just shows how incredibly ignorant you, as well as most PS fanboys are on this site.

It's a fact that games are actually coming, but you, like most PS fanboys stick to this hopeless rebuttal of "no games" in the pathetic attempt of the blind leading the sheep, because truthfully, that's all you fanboys have left to resort to.

Cuphead (just came out), Forza 7 (just came out), State of Decay, Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, PUBG to list a few.

Add on to that, huge collection of 360 and original Xbox games, there's plenty to do on the Xbox.

And as for those games that have already been out, well for someone like me who hasn't played them, ntm getting enhanced patches as well as free dlc (Recore), it's refreshing to play.

Actually, every game you mentioned was announced years ago and some haven't even been released because they were pushed back yet again until 2018. You got a 2D game and a "every year there's a Forza" racing game. Oh wait, you got Halo wars 2 that I don't see anyone ever talk about in the threads. Like not at all. That's how great that release was.

Instead of a constant release of new IPs, or paying to get a sequel to Blue Dragon or Lost Odyssey, you are happy they allow you to play games you can play already on the consoles they released on.

"Oh thank you Microsoft for allowing me to play a game I can play already on an OG Xbox or Xbox 360." "I bought this new console because I really wanted to play the games I played already." "No need to create new studios or games for me." "Just update Stubbs the Zombie."" I'm really excited for that in 4K." "And if Xbox One Two comes out, please update Blinx in 8K." "And while doing that, withhold any games for the last three years of Xbox one so that they can be launch titles for Xbox One Two."

But hey, you're happy that they are one of the richest companies putting out the least amount of effort on consoles. But they want to be the leader right?

how many multiplatform games are coming out and were just released. so far over 150. all with superior performance. plenty of reasons to get a one x. its not like gen 8 consoles only play exclusive content. the biggest selling IP 9 out 10 times aren't even exclusives. look at any sales charts for the last 5 years. and... the biggest selling game of 2017 is launching on X in a few weeks. its a bs argument. exclusives are great but nobody just only plays exclusives and the majority of games aren't exclusives. i'll take that performance. I already have a one x and a pro and its already setting up the pattern of the X getting everything and the pro runs HZD (but i already finished it so not really playing it).

As long as 99% of xb1s out there are the OG, not the X that ^^ claim is null, void and ignorant. The overwhelming majority will experience best performance on PlayStation until the end of this gen, just as they did since 2013. Same way PC superior perfomance is irrelevant to a console gamer.

advice for xbox fanboys (I was one)
Please lookup the first party game developers list from Microsoft....and then compare it to the list of SONY.
MS just noted that they 'again as each year...' will start investing in exclusive games (especially for xbox x)...but it will take 2 to 5 years to see the outcome..they say..
The only exclusives for xbox one X that will come out now will be third party exclusives made like Ryse, Sunset Overdrive. There is a 10% chance one would actually be AAA good.
Because SONY manages their game-houses top-down successfully they have a higher success rate (40% that the first party exclusive will turn out a hit) and SONY also has more exclusives built from the ground up for PS4.
MS is just not as good and willing as SONY to invest in their own game-houses.
MS tried and failed in the xbox, xbox360 era. It was just too difficult\expensive for Microsoft to manage their game-houses (Bungie, Fable etc etc). Their management structure was just not good enough. But MS certainly tried hard.
They wont burn their finger twice.
So selling the masses that AAA exclusives will come is the best tactic they must uphold. If enough consoles are sold MS will probably make a deal again with EA to charter some exclusive from a EA game-house (You really don't think it was Microsoft's own idea to come up with the DRM thing do you??? ....)
MS just does not invest in games. It just invests in game publishers (like EA)
MS rather pay for exclusivity and SONY rather pay for game diversity and development (the reason for their slogan 'this is for the players')

Also the TON of investment in PSVR games aside ps4 console games is mindblowing.
And there is also the PSP...
What does microsoft have???....please...
MS has a good sales department. because there is no real reason they are selling as much as they do now.

Oh, and Cuphead is on PC, which isn't owned by Microsoft. And the games you just listed are also going to be on PC or on PC already. Crackdown 3 doesnt even have a solid release date.

Problem is that X provides ton more value. Not only is it better for EVERY SINGLE multiplat game in every single aspect of gaming, but it has more upcoming great exclusives I wanna play than every other console combined. The next must have PS game for me is still probably a year away. Ps is really good at making very niche good games that most gamers have no interest in.

Honestly that is the problem, new IP's don't sell well on the Xbox. Very sad that games like Ryse, Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive did very poorly. Probably why they haven't invested in new IP's.

Street Fighter V, MLB 16 The Show, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 4, Guilty Gear Xrd, Star Ocean: Intergrity and Faithlessness, No Man's Sky, King of Fighters XIV, World of Final Fantasy, The Last Guardian
Xbox One exclusives in 2016:

That's 10 exclusives to 5 exclusives and I'm being generous by counting a timed exclusive for Xbox. In case any Xbox fans say most 2016 PS4 exclusives were delayed from 2015, here's a list of PS4 exclusives in 2015:
The Order: 1886, Bloodborne, MLB 15: The Show, Until Dawn, Tearaway Unfolded, Disgaea 5
Xbox One exclusives in 2015:

That's the beauty of it. If you have a PS4, Switch and gaming PC you have everything covered. I like checking Game Informer every month to see that there are almost no games that aren't covered by my hardware. It's amusing to hear 'better graphics' and 'more power' as arguments when PC can beat anything the consoles have and has backwards compatibility that can't be touched. You can still play Zork on PC.

That’s the sad part. MS will destroy the gaming console. They cant compete in the console gaming scene so they are going to merge it with PC. That way they can continue to not make games and instead use their windows leverage to dominate gaming. Not by adding anything to gaming, but by way of the “parity clause” and bully tactics.

Me? I like consoles. I enjoy them. So im going to support the two consoles that are adding to the console habitat.

@ cyborg, you say that like it's a bad thing. Xbox putting all their games on PC is the only reason I own a Pro. Thanks to a gamestop trade in promo, I got $150 for my xbox one and $200 for my PS4, meaning I only spent $50 for a PS4 Pro. And since I have a gaming PC, I'm not missing out on anything MS comes out with. If I had to spend anymore than $100, I wasn't going to upgrade. so Thanks MS! You making xbox redundant helped me to get a pro.

If the game has not been partnered or distributed by Microsoft then Microsoft does not make any money from the sales of PC games.

Sure Microsoft could push for a royalty for any application that runs on their operating system however that would be risky since they would need worldwide legislation to do that and it is pretty easy for games developers to start making games that run on alternative free of royalty operating systems.

Agreed. I own both the One X and PS4 Pro. Both are lovely but it’s immediately clear the One X is the superior hardware. The graphics are better, it’s smaller, looks badass and is much quieter than the Pro (by a lot).

Pretty much all of my multiplatform games going forward will definitely be on X but I have the Pro to handle any potential PS4 exclusives I am interested in.

that list is pretty weak, I mean console design, controller feel, XBL vs PSN.. those are all subjective and could change with each person's tastes. The main factor is going to be 3rd party games. They will simply look and run the best on the One X. That isn't to say the Pro versions won't look amazing, because they still will. But the One X will be the place to play 3rd party games. However, that alone won't sell a system. Exclusives do matter, and this is where MS needs to do some catching up.

@Death - actually the PS4 is a few million ahead. Exclusives matter, but look at the top selling games on either console. What are they? 3rd party games. The Call of Duty's, the GTA's, etc.

So while exclusives apparently matter, not as many people buy those games as you think. Hell how many PS4 exclusives have a 10% attach rate (6.5 million + in sales)? 1 game. Uncharted 4.

In fact if you look at the top 25 selling PS4 games, only 3 are exclusives.

So while people like to believe that exclusives are important. Not many people are buying those exclusives.

3rd party games rule these consoles, and people will flock to the system that will offer them the best experience for those games.

@OB1Biker - don't get me wrong, I think exclusives are important. They set themselves apart from the other console. But for all the griping people do about how important exclusives are, sales data proves that not a ton of people are actually buying them. It will always be Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty that sell the best on each system. So playing the best version of those games could very well be important to many people more so than their console having Uncharted or Forza.

all of that angry madness and for what.

Let me help you out. One side may overstate the importance of exclusives but the other understates them. . Don't you think it's clear that both Nintendo and the ps are doing better because they have more usp's that ultimately casts wider nets. Maybe you didn't see the presser ms done recently but they sure shoehorned in the term 'exclusive' as much as they could. I mean even the other day Phil was commenting on improving their 1st party pasty efforts. . . Why.? Has the thought ever crossed your mind that Phil/ms are trying to snag new punters, grab back the defectors whilst retaining those who are growing more disgruntled. . They know they have their hard-core fans who will never look elsewhere but they lost a load of gamers this gen. No head start rely on.

Why is it that when a quality exclusive like Forza, ori or cup head come about Xbox fans laud them yet refuse to acknowledge openly that the other players provide more of those or that having more is better than having little to none.

Just look at this year. . We're 4 to 5 years in and ms and their fans are making excuses for its weakness like this is year 1 or something. If you can't manage or be in your stride by now then it's not fanboyish to consider that a failing.

Now, ms have came through on their hardware promise but have faulted with their software promises that stemmed back from 2014 and even last gen. Games sell consoles. More games isn't some kind of negative if the quality is sound to system seller levels. Power alone won't turn tides. Compelling diverse software and consistency aren't the be all and end all either but they sure helped and matter more than what ms and many of their fans think. Just look at the disparity of sales. . Some still think it's the reveal and mixed messaging why it's how it is now. Trust me. . Ms's fall off in regards to exclusive content in the final third of last gen was a factor to many coming into this one. Ms ignored the signs and it was at their peril.

Gears 4 is good but I thought it could've been a lot better I was actually disappointed in it but I think Gears 5 will bring some new welcome changes going off of what The Coalition said

$500 for Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Forza Horizon 3, Ori and the Blind Forest, Cuphead, Killer Instinct, Halo 5 and Gears 4 that's well worth a console purchase then you have backwards compatibility and 4K bluray

Yep, they do, but it doesn't matter because i can play them all on the PC ( it's not something i'm against by the way, the more games on the pc the better it is for me ). Anyone that has a decent PC or PS4 isn't going to feel any need to pick up an Xbox One X. I'm not sure what gamer the Xbox One X is even made for. PC gamers won't want one, they would rather have a stronger PC, and console gamers will always go with price and exclusives. Console gamers won't care if the Xbox One X has slightly better resolution than the PS4, they will still buy a PS4 because that is where the games and price is at it's best. If console gamers cared so much about better graphics and resolution, then the PS2 would have been destroyed by the original Xbox.

While i might follow them off the bridge i guess i get that point. Though in that example xbox is dying and ps4 is not jumping? Lets make them similar to see if it helps any, if all my friends play basketball im not gonna go play football with 10 random guys i dont know. Seems more fair this way ps4 and xbox are both options where you dont die.
However im sure you meant that more as a "think for yourself" thing. Anyways I typically prefer to enjoy things with my friends, just me though idk. I can also think for myself WHILST i play with my friends its pretty gnar.

Im just saying at 28 I purchase whatever console my friends want to. (The few that still game i mean). If i want other games that arent on that fine, ill buy the extra no worries (i have a job). But for me the primary goal of gaming is playing with my friends, split screen/lan/online IDC. I cant even honestly say when the last time ive played a multiplayer game online alone(without a IRL friend) is.

Kinda sad this TacoTaru guy got so many dislikes..... people are seriously saying you should abandon your friends?
When you realize that the people on these forms are gonna be the ones that replace your abandonded friends you may reconsider.

@zuul9018 I'm an old guy ( wondering if I'll live long enough to see the next Elder Scrolls get released ^^well, almost) but I didn't think I was so out of touch with the culture that I was unaware people would value hardware over being able to play with their friends. I'm fine and third party titles look amazing on the Pro. I have a very capiable 4K HDR tv and I'm just blown away! Also I have a great Samsung 4K Blu Ray player. Instead I'm getting the PSVR Skyrim bundle, 3DS XL for one of the kids as well as the new Metroid along with Mario Odyssey and any other game deals we find Friday.

4K experience on my PS4P is fine. Mostly because the games themselves are good. Not that it matters to me, because I don't care that much about resolution, and I'm not overly fussed if a game is native 4K, or still running at 720p.

Your call, but keep in mind PC gaming is cheaper. you'll save that money by not having to pay for xbox live, plus PC games themselves are a lot cheaper, you can always find deals even at launch. Plus, steam sales, plus mods, plus more games. That is unless you just have a personal preference to game on xbox, but if the deciding factor for you is price, PC still wins out. It's just if you want to pay a higher initial price or pay more over time.

Really can you list some that make it worthy of dropping $400 Does it have a fps as good as Halo or a racer fun as fh3? A platformer like Ori. Any zombie games similar to the walking dead tv show like sod. Anything funny and unique like sunset? Any competitive shooters like a gears? No jrpgs plz. I can only think of horizon and uncharted.

@Mafia When has Halo been good? When has it not is a better question. Halo 5 is the best mp in the series and the best fps this gen imo. Delusional? Sunset cracked me up, no lie I swear no game had made me laugh that hard. Gow 4 had my interest but it's slowly turning me off. It's no longer looking like a hack and slash. It's become some cinematic rpg. I want gow 1-3 . Dream doesn't look good at all and the only Spiderman game I liked was Spiderman 2 back on ps2. Days gone looks good.

Considering sod and Ori have sequels coming I think you should add those 2 lol. Shows your biased, and if you are listing games in general up coming you left a few off on Ms side. You list any and every PS4 game. I list games that interest me. I don't buy a game simply cause it's exclusive like you n4g guys.

I don't want a XboxoneX or a PSpro. I'm good with my PS4 and Xbox one. I see both as a waste of money, and would rather spend my money on upcoming games.

Xboxone really offers nothing that I want that I can't get with the PS4 anyway. I'm not into paying that much for a slight graphical upgrade.

@outside, it'll make games more stable, there are moments in Horizon that the frames drop quite a bit, playing horizon on the pro is graphics mode lets it hit the target frame rate no problem.

Bloodborne is also doing alot better with the pro

A lot of people nowadays seem to think that isn't an acceptable answer. I don't know why, but they seem to think that everyone should upgrade.

This article throws in the OGPS4 and X1, but seems to dismiss it overall in favor of the mid-gens.

This holiday, the stock consoles are still likely to sell more than the mid-gens, and I'd imagine, at this point, most people have already made up their minds on what system to get.

I'd imagine that for most of those people, the games likely have more to do with their decision than the graphics, but if graphics were a consideration, then the OGPS4 still has the OGX1 beat.

Forza isn't an appropriate example since it's not on Playstation. That would be an Xbox One (S)/Xbox One X comparison. In most cases, the X has only been able to provide better resolution when comparing the visuals of a game that is also available on the Pro. And resolution != graphics.

Another Forbes article touting the Xbox One X over the PS Pro. "It's the only console you can play Forza, Halo and Gears of War on". The PS4 is the only console on which you can play over 21 exclusives this year alone including Uncharted: Lost Legacy, 2 Yakuza games, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Nioh, Nier: Automata, Persona 5 and more. The Xbox One cannot even be spoken of in the same breath when it comes to exclusives. Most of the other reasons given in the article are subjective In fact, where gaming is concerned, there is really only one area where the Xbox One X excels - it is more powerful - for now.

It is good that the Xbox One X is out there and gamers have another choice but to assert that it is better overall than the PS4 Pro is a stretch. The number of exclusive games available on the PS4 alone makes the console more desirable to many gamers.

Hey Forbes, the Xbox one s was the first upgraded console, but now the only other one in production.
The x is the third iteration this gen... the only reason to get an x, is if that is all you buy and you want only a Microsoft console.
“The best version” was argued for 3 years thus canceling out “the best version”.
Even Phil stated, several times, games matter over pixels... until the x released of course.
Sony can easily release another upgraded console. If three consoles upgrades are ok for one group, there would be no arguing over it.

Better looking console, the only place to play halo, forza, gears, I'll leave the most powerful out because he overlapped with the last and truest reason why anyone with an x one bought it. BRAGGING RIGHTS.

As a guy on multiple gaming forums this is THE one reason everyone falls back on. Multiplied and exaggerated. I see the games in motion and think eh, while fanboys like eurogamer and Erik and forum goers everywhere paint a picture of Atari vs a maxed out 2000 dollar PC. It's nowhere near the case.

Also I've never seen so many gamers in my life be so excited (they really arent) to go backwards in a library. The BC factor doesn't make a 360 game look like a just released game.

Since Eric names the 3 exclusive games worth playing someone needs to mention the shit ton of exclusives that can't be played on the Xbox. Yes we have way more than 3 tired franchises in the past and foreseeable future. Excellent AAA games not Indies.

I give Phil credit though he understands life the mindset of the x gamer the last 4 years. It's been painful, hardly any exclusives and underpowered. So he gave them all they really need, BRAGGING RIGHTS. They personally don't care if they get checkers and long as long as it's the best version on console.

Exactly, it boils down to individual preferences. You can't try to sell a console saying something that for you is ok but for others is not. I have the pad for my PC because it's the only thing i kept from my old One and no, for me it's not better for example. And it's not for many other gamers. If I can play The Last of US 2, Spider Man, God of War, Bloodborne 2, Ni no kuni 2, Days Gone, Zelda, Mario or Metroid on Xbox then I would definitely buy an Xbox one x right now without caring to spend almost $600.

Otherwise the Xbox is not a good deal for me. I can already play multiplatform games on my console or PC. No need for Xbox.

If I can't not play compelling exclusive XBO games on the X like I can play compelling PS4 exclusives on my Pro then there's absolutely zero reasons for me to buy an X.I really don't care about playing old dated looking games in higher resolution & I can play all my multi-plats on my Pro & they look great displayed on my 4k hdr tv.

The Pro has a handful of nice exclusives, which look just fine on the standard PS4. The X enhances old games and 3rd party games better than the Pro. A few games or hundreds of better looking games?

M$ is soooooooo going to efff you over if you buy into XB1X.
It's already past the mid point of this gen.
Sony will be announcing the PS5 within the next year or 2 and no doubt will be twice the power of the xbonex1.
Any decent exclusives MS is working on for the X1X is YEARS down the road and what is going to happen is MS will save their Exclusives to launch with the XBONEX2 so they can attempt to catch pack up to Sony. MS are QUICKLY going to abandon the Xbone1x when the PS5 is announced.

meanwhile, nintendo is sitting at the top looking down on both sides talking about "we have games...you have no games!"...exclusive this, exclusive that." all day long..... in case anyone forgot....the top 2 consoles last month were the switch AND the snes mini (which only has 30 OLD games).

...and check where i said LAST MONTH. learn to read. fact is, nintendo has been killing it since they launched the switch...if you mean sony has more sales than both, of course they do, they have been out for a lot longer than the switch but it all has to start somewhere.

Microsoft, I'm going to write this again and again despite all these repetitive 'online jobs' you endorse and pay for.

Microsoft, none of those 9 reasons include exclusive games. People purchase consoles because of their exclusive licenses. Let me give you an example: Last of Us 2, Nioh, Horizon Zero Down with Frozen Wilds, Insomniac's Spiderman, Days Gone, Naughty Dog's Uncharted Legacy. These games among many other exclusive titles gives the reasons why many stick to the PS4.

Why should I play these two years old games on a console when I can play them on a PC. There is no reason to add a new console if there is no significant new material to get excited for. Microsoft, you are late since this generation is ending. Next time stop being so stingy and invest in exclusive titles and studios instead of closing studios of potential good game developers.

Sorry, but these articles shows how desperate you are Microsoft. No one will purchase 600 dollars to play two years old third party games with better resolution and frame rate. Microsoft, ask yourself why Sony is printing money right now.

Halo isn't exclusive? I had no clue. Well you have pubg, sod2, ori2, sot, just to name a few. Not everyone has a PC or games on one you know. The X is $500 not 600 and it's $350 after trade in so.... Why would they ask Sony that when they themselves are worth 10x more? That's like the NFL asking arena football bout money lol

Halo-Gears-Forza is not enough to push a 600 dollars console when XBOX owners already have one. Yes the console has a price tag of 500 dollars but with taxes the whole thing can easily reach 600 dollars. Sorry but Microsoft is a slow learner and a back stabber. It's not fair to asks 900 dollars for two boxes and no exclusive games.

Sony invested on exclusive titles, developers and software to make their console available to a greater audience. Microsoft decided to endorse pay walls, micro transactions, pay to win schemes and extra payments for online services. Microsoft forgot that exclusives are the main steam behind consoles and the reason why people add new hardware to their homes.

Microsoft spends too much money and time on pseudo extortions, hardball articles, PR stunts, and paid 'online jobs' for advertisement. Microsoft most spend more time on quality in video games, long lasting experiences and longer campaigns leaving behind the stigmata of a 4 hour long "call of duty campaign".

Online gaming is not everything. It is one part of the industry but not the totality.

great console, but... i had this conversation with one of my mates. he got the X and he has played old titles to see the difference, but now, he hasnt turned it on for several days.
if you want power get the X
if you want slightly less power but a broad range of games get the pro.

im on team SwitchPS4, but you have to admit these sony only fans in the comment section are too funny.........I remember on here when Xbox One and ps4 drop, the sony fans would brag about the increase power, the xbox fans would say its all about the games

current day 11/23/17 sony fans say its all about the games now, and xbox fans bragging about their console

Microsoft deserve everything for creating that great system, it have everything needed hdmi 2.1, 4k bluray, 6 teraflops and etc........how can you say anything bad about it, this is what I wanted from ps4 pro, anyone who say different just lying to themselves, or should I say cognitive dissonance

Had my xbox x for a few days what i find wierd for a software driven company... they cant create a ui thats interesting or user freindly. Ill say one thing its so quiet you dont need to turn up the tv like you do with ps4.

I think people forget that not everyone likes the Sony exclusives. I own both systems and have as many exclusives on each. Last of us, Hzd. Forza7, killer instinct, state of decay. But I have and play more 3rd party games and so will play them on the X. Sony at the moment for their exclusives and the X for all others.
I hate bloodhound and persona etc so not a system seller to me.

Sure, the XBOX ONE X is an awesome console... When it comes to specs... But those PS4 exclusives make the PS4 a much better investment IMO in the long run when wanting to buy a console.

Those exclusives are few and in reality don't matter to the majority of gamers. Fact is the majority of PS4 owners prefer third party games over Sony's own exclusives that says it all right there. I'm so sick of reading post after post from koolaid drinking fanboys boasting about PS4 exclusives when they're next to worthless in reality. That's just rhetoric!

Way back at the start of this generation the XB1 had a comparable advantage in exclusives but to fanboys and the game media at the time power was king and the only thing that mattered. Remember the "Xbox perfect storm" MS were boasting about? How did that work out? My point is nobody but fanboys care about exclusives and sales strongly support that point.

What people do care about though is power! The X delivers on that and for people who prefer to game only on consoles it matters. Further more, the X features an UHD Blu-Ray and 4K at 60fps capture card and while most here wouldn't admit it, it's a better investment (your words) than just a few mostly mediocre exclusives that most don't care for anyway.

9 reasons why I never waste 530 € (in no particular order)

1) I lose my entire friend list that I play with.
2) I lose all my PS Plus games since october 2008
3) I lose my VR and 20+ games
4) I lose over 126 games (all digital) that I bought
5) I lose ALL progress and saves in the aforementioned games :(
6) I lose ALOT money buying a slightly better console/all games I want to play /replay that I now own.
7) I lose myself-respect joining the Xbotters that move from "play games not pixels" to "look we have X more pixels than the Pro"
8) I (would) lose my friends respect being the only X-box'er in our friendship circuit
9) I'd lose my ability to remote play my games on my precious Vita ;)

So I rather let M$ lose one thing. A sale to me...

My point is, this is the reality for me and pretty much everyone I know, and I know ALOT of people. So reading all these clickbait articles is actually insulting to all us adults that can make up our own mind what we play and what we play on. PS or Xbox, up to the customer in the end. ;)

I don't understand people to be honest the exclusive deal i mean we all know sony has more because well they have been at it longer building up a good line of first party games.

Halo Wars 2 (Best RTS on console)
Halo Series and yes i still enjoy the story
Gears
Forza
and more are coming that were announced earlier yes but to say that xbox has none is kinda wrong. Between multi plats, new xbox games, and old games (I love how people downplay this but when i think to myself hey i wish games like dead space series existed these days i can still play them that's a big deal rather than i am bored of all the new action action action games). Obviously people are gong to prefer one console over the other for some reason mine personally is i like the xbox controller better, i like xbox live better and yes i've had PSN before, i want to be able to play some of my old series whenever i want but again this is just me. :D
