I don't know what you are talking about when it comes to Wanda's powers, but that's what she does. Reality-Altering Effects. She can cause combustion, deflection or flight. They did a great job with her. Also as I stated in my review, I was glad they didn't go the Wonder Man origin with the Vision, but he was done well.
Movie Universe hardly shows the true nature of famed comic book characters. I know that the hulk would not go down so easily or Iron Man would be able to take him on solo. He could never calculate how powerful the hulk was, so his Hulk Buster armor would always fail.

but tokyo has a lot of places that are driftable. Many mountain tops. The city portion of the movie was just for show, but since it is a movie they will bring the fantasy into it.
