Agree with you completely. I love films and whenever I go see a film I want it to be good so I am always quite sasd when it doesn't fulfill my expectations. None of my friends liked and I didn't hear anything positive about the film eitehr after the screening. I don't understand how can someone defend this as a good film. But so far it seems that it will still make a huge ton of money so we can't expect a rise in quality.
And they certainly are what makes the film great. If you can go watch, it's definitely worth the time.
I really enjoyed, sometimes there is more than meets the eye to some films.
Well that's one way to spend your weekend as well - probably one of the best!
Frankly, there is nothing good about this film.
Salvation at least tried to do something different and explained most of its mythology. For what its worth I would like to see a continuation of that rather than Genisys. But Salvation isn't good either.
For Me the last true Terminator film is Rise of the Machines. It had all the stuff a termiantor film should have and it was a nice follow-up.
The first one was great film for a chick flick. Hope the second one is just as good.
As an enormous fan of Woody Allen, I am looking forward to his film every year. He is a guarantee of a quality film. Can't imagine what will I do once he is gone.
From what I see here all the characters look better in the TV show
Franco is a jack of all trades and in my opinion a master actor. He can do drama, comedy you name it.
7/10 seems too harsh. From the review it seems that the author enjoyed the film much more. You really have to admire about Blomkamp that he dares to ask these questions about humanity in today's cinema.
I strongly disagree with this opinion. For me everything Verbinski has made is a masterpiece. I think people are just unjustifiedly bashing Johnny Depp and the people he usually works with i.e. Burton, Verbinski, and people tend to overlook the qualities of the films solely for Depp's presence.
Exactly. I just worry that might set an precedens for other films to follow.
Although there has been a surprising turn of events when the hackers pulled the threat just a few minutes ago. It is all just very odd. It is either some young inexperinced hackers or a clever marketing hoax.
Maybe this all will change.
I liked that it wasn't a complete retread of the original but as I state in the review the black humour is missing and that was an important aspect in the first film which made it so successful for me.
James Gunn has actually stated that GOTG 2 will not entirely focus on the storyline of Quill's father. I guess that would be just a dream casting of mine for the future.
Wow that's high praise. Glad you liked the review.
