Rumor was he wanted 50 million and the studio said no. All for the better. All I needed was Goldblum. He was the real star anyway. He was the one who figured out how to turn off their shields and he was the one who had a change in his story arc. Will Smith's character was just the jock that could fly well.

What? That's the first I ever heard anyone think he was going to play potus. We all knew Will Smith wasn't in it. That's been a fact for quite some time.

I know the human race is easily confused but give people some credit. It's not like it'll confuse to such a degree it'll drive them into a mad fury.

It's a little slow but that's to be expected given the time setting of events and they also need somewhere to go. It has a lot of potential though and I like the whole dynamic going on.

It would be hilarious if the humans tried the same trick and then the camera cuts to the alien's monitor and an AVG anti-virus protection pop-up came on the screen and blocks the virus, then afterwards, it's actually just a trial version and the aliens had no way to pay for it so it doesn't do anything and the shields come down again. Then ID3! This time...the aliens have a FULL version! but it's actually a hacked version but unfortunately, it contains a virus already and agai...

The Mayweather fight would have been the fight of the Century...if it happened 5 years ago.

The big difference is that Marvel has a proven track record with hits, transforming B-list and even D-list super heroes into big money whereas DC has relied heavily on only a Nolan series Batman and a somewhat okay Man of Steel. So for DC to announce a slew of movies they have planned, some people are skeptical that they can actually do it and on the flip-side, no matter what Marvel releases, people will expect it to be a home-run. Hell, I'm sure one day they'll release a Squirrel-gir...

Iron Man's Hulkbuster may as well be can of beans to the Hulk. He's going to destroy that thing.

@xXBlondieVanHarlowXx

2 mediocre ones? Again, are you people psychics? Since when has a Marvel movie of this caliber been mediocre? Harry Potter and Twilight are two contained stories from a book, Avengers can do their own thing and not be constrained by another medium. Quit your whining already, Avengers 2 isn't even out yet, Christ..

Then don't watch it. It's more Avengers, are you really complaining? You haven't even seen it yet.

I always knew that this would have to be a 2 parter, you can't have a showdown with Thanos and cram it into 1 single movie even if it's a 3 1/2 hour one. The thing is, how are you going to explain how Thanos acquires everything? All the gems and the gauntlet and his appearance on Earth and the actual fight. If you think about it, it would seem way too rushed to fit into one movie. We've waited so long for Thanos that it needs to fit and two Avengers movies over two years? I'm ...

@cell989

It's not as confusing as you make it out to be. It can easily be ret-conned and All Hail The King was a good start. The real problem is in 20 years why the hell does a kid want to watch DVDs? Hell Blu-Rays could be stone age tech in a few years.

Hollywood is notoriously biased against female roles because for the most part, they sell less than male heroes, they make great back up parts to add that sex value but it's just silly to assume Hollywood would get rid of Chris Hemsworth to replace him with who exactly?

As much as anyone wants that to happen, it'll never return to Marvel. As long as Fox and Sony keep churning out new movies, they'll get to keep it. The only way they'll lose the license is if they go into a long lull like what happened to Dare Devil. Or one of those companies becomes on the verge of bankruptcy, they'd sell it back to Marvel for billions of dollars. Marvel should have put in a clause like max 10-15 years or something. Then again, it's selling those licenses...

Yeah but DC or rather Warner Bros doesn't have the balls to use anyone outside of Batman and Superman.

Did they learn nothing from Spiderman 3?

#1 and #4 better be a joke. Timothy Olyphant would do great as a replacement.

@Klonopin

I'll give you that Smith blows now and I wouldn't want him to return but Independence Day was a huge financial and critical success. Just because you and a number of others think differently doesn't make it a fact. You're entitled to your own opinion but to state a fact when the movie is still years away is pretty stupid.
