Quite excited for this.
I'm tentatively optimistic about this. The show has been hit or miss for me as of late, although I thought it ended pretty strongly last season.
So this doesn't suck? Interesting, I might have to check it out.
That's a shame, I quite enjoyed the third season of The Killing.
I can't say I agree with these reasons to see it but I can certainly stand behind the recommendation to see it.
I love Anna Kendric.
I'm hoping so as well, especially since I really enjoyed the original. But nothing I've seen so far has me thinking it will be. :(
Yeah, Megan Fox as April is on par with Denise Richards as a scientist in The World is Not Enough.
I honestly forgot this was still a thing.
I'd agree with that. Personally I feel they failed at making it better their way and in the process, ruined a lot of the natural charm the novel had.
As a fan of the book, I couldn’t get past the drastic changes that they made to characters and scenes including motivations and impact. The film seems to rush along from scene to scene without ever letting the plot develop and worse, Ethan and Lena romance develop.
Completely agree. It is one of the reasons I drifted away from WWE to TNA but I couldn't stay watching that either because their writing was so atrocious. Outside of Wrestlemania and a couple other times a year, I've completely stopped watching across the board. It makes me sad because I grew up watching wrestling with my Dad but my son won't ever get that because the quality is just so subpar its not worth wasting time on.
Teeth is so amazingly amusing, glad to see it on this list.
And I've been meaning to see The Loved Ones, its been on my Amazon watch list for a bit now. Maybe I'll get to it tonight.
Can't say I agree with much of his take on the film. As someone who generally dislikes found footage films, I found the film to be fun and inventive, a breath of fresh air for the horror sub-genre.
My two favorite shorts in the anthology were the two I thought were the best of the bunch so I guess that just proves different strokes for different folks.
Mostly disagree with the conclusions that are being made here. When Dwayne Johnson appears on WWE television as The Rock, he is appearing as that character. The people that watch WWE television know this and expect it. The WWE has cleaned up its image over the last decade(in my opinion for the worse) and The Rock is just performing within those new constraints that the company has set for themselves.
I don't hate Walker but I don't see this as a good fit.
Yeah, it was really well done.
Pearl Harbor? Really? I'd go with the Rock (and so would most critics and fans) and Armageddon before Pearl Harbor.
Nolan and Aronofsky get plenty of attention. Bay makes films for a certain subset of movie goers and there is nothing wrong with enjoying a film filled with explosions, CGI and action provided you understand what you are getting into.
Did Spielberg sell his soul as well?
I'm not sure there needs to be a distinction between being a great movie or great entertainment.
