I was even debating whether to give it at least a 5/10. lol. It's not a bad film. It's just that the story and concept are too familiar to other films in the same genre. It's almost like watching a different version of Oz The Great and Powerful.

Horror films today are less fun to watch because they all seem to focus on being very dark and serious. I guess we have those ghost-hunter TV shows to thank for that.

It's not a bad movie. It's just that previous adaptations have already set the bar pretty high (i.e The Ten Commandments and The Prince of Egypt). I personally enjoyed The Prince Of Egypt more than this 2014 version, even though Prince of Egypt is an animated film.
