This has me so excited for the movie I'm damn near vibrating. Forrest Whitaker is a fave of mine so seeing him in a Star Wars movie makes me pretty stoked too.
Big ups to Disney for taking this franchise by the horns and doing something amazing with it.
I'm with you man... although I have to admit I'm not in love with Elektra's character. I think it's more a case of me not liking someone for no apparent reason though... I'm petty like that.
The upcoming game is looking amazing too. Just started playingit and gotta say that Insmoniac has made one of the best looking games on the PS4, no doubt about that at all.
Still not entirely sure which side of the fence I fall on here. I had some strong likes and dislikes and this is from an avid comic book fan who is very familiar with the source material.
I do wonder what the Average Joe thoughts are on BvS though? Without the strong character/story familiarity they have to look at it differently from those of us who do.
Yeah this movie is about as divisive as any I've seen in recent years.
The yes side is really challenging the idea that action and comedy should come second to the drama and character development, if not the fact that you need to go deeper than just what you see on the screen. I can't say I disagree with that sentiment, however all the drama in the world can't save it if it's simply bad.

My comment was directed ONLY at his hate-spit to the reviewer. The rest of his comment was well thought out opinion (for the most part). Whether I agree or disagree is of no consequence so long as it's kept on the level. :)
All this proves is that you have a different opinion than others. You can belly-ache like a child all you want but the bottom line is that it's nothing more than two opposite thoughts on the same thing.
I'll never understand why nerds get their shit stirred up just because someone thinks differently. Instead of just agreeing to disagree they'll write a novel trying to argue their point. You won't change anyone's mind!
100% agree... the characters themselves can easily carry a great film if it's written well and remains faithful to the source material.
Man I'm a dedicated King fan since my teens but for some reason I just can't get into this. It reviews really positively too. I don't know what it is that throws me off either.

Agreed... they give us just enough without giving too much. Still, many of us are already familiar with the Civil War story in general so what's to give away in a sense.
Long breaks are the worst! I think that's why I love Netflix so much... straight BINGE WATCHING!

Oh man, no doubt about that. Amazon has some good shows too but Netflix still reigns supreme for streaming.

The mushrooms scene was SO reminiscent of Tobey Maguire's dance moves scene from Spider-Man. I laughed my ass off!
They lost me early in this season. Not sure I'll be coming back unfortunately.

Just like anyone else, a critic's take on a movie is personal opinion and just because one doesn't line up with your views doesn't make it a click-bait review. If you're being 100% objective you'll see that reviews have been polarizing from fans and critics alike so yeah, there's that. Not ALL fans loved it.
