This movie looks terrible. Worse than the last one which is the only movie I ever walked out on. And I was watching it at home.

Damn. I was hoping this was good. The trailer actually gave me hope but I guess it turned out to a decent action sci fi movie but with none of the deep philosophy that made you still think about it decades later. It would be hard for a remake to have that sort of profound effect like the first time you saw the Matrix.
Hmm, I still want to see it but Ill go in to watch it for what it is, popcorn fluff, not what I wanted it to be, a brilliant tribute to a bonafide classic.

Bingo. I thought it was good. Not great. Since I saw a good movie, I enjoyed myself. No regrets there. Affleck was better than I thought he would be. Eisenberg was way better than I thought he would be. Didnt care for their motivations for joining. They were feeble and just thrown in as a device to stop them fighting. Poorly executed. Also I hate when a villain only emerges in the last quarter of the movie just to give the heroes someone to band against but overall I still enjoyed it.

Watch The Survivors with Walter Matthau. Easily my favorite movie of his (with a young, thin John Goodman cameo in the gun store) His 80's stand up is razor sharp too.

Common misconception that "Bullet time" means seeing a bullet in slow motion. Bullet time was actually the technique of having a camera pan round a stationary or slow moving object at much quicker speeds than the action was playing at and it was done by having multiple still cameras taking 100's of photos from all angles and then stitching them together.

Or everytime the question of a bald character comes up someone says Vin Diesel, as if other actors couldnt shave their heads. Im surprised Vin didnt play Imperator Furiosa.
