Well this month sees the finale of the beloved "Harry Potter" series as "Deathly Hallows Part 2" releases. I'm going to go ahead and predict it shatters opening day records that "Transformers 3" just set.
As I'm sure many are looking forward to seeing the young wizard in his final adventure, we'll be giving you a chance to bring home some cool "Harry Potter" memorabilia. Also, you'll have a chance to supe up your home entertainment set-up.
CONTRIBUTOR CONTEST:
---------------------
We'll be returning to the lottery style, but we're upping the requirement here. Submit 30 submissions and you'll be entered in to win the grand prize. In honor of the Harry Potter finale, this month's grand prize will be an original "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" advance poster (a $100 value).
Also, we're going to switch things up just a tad bit running a secondary contributor contest. This contest will award the member to submit the hottest piece of news. Whoever submits the hottest piece of news by the end of the month will win 2 movies of their choice.
COMMENT CONTEST:
------------------
Again, we'll be sticking to the lotto-style here. Make 50 or more comments in the month of July and you'll be entered to win the grand prize. The Grand Prize winner will win his/her choice of an original "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" poster or a "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" poster.
On top of that, the grand prize winner will also win a Logitech Harmony 700 universal remote. I'm sure anybody who's ever owned a Logitech Harmony will tell you that these are the kings of universal remotes. I personally own one and I'll tell you you'll never go back after discovering this simple way to tame all your devices more effectively than any other universal remote.
As a secondary contest, we'll also be rewarding the two members with the most comments at the end of the month.
1st: 2 movies of your choice
2nd: 1 movie of your choice
*As always, spamming comments will get you disqualified.
*Cheating to alter heat will get you disqualified.
*Only one prize per person.
*All winners must be willing to provide a valid address so that prizes may be mailed
*Contests are NOT limited to the United States.
As a little something extra, I'm going to give you guys a chance to vote on what you'd like featured as prizes next month. Below you'll find a grand prize category and a secondary prize category. Supacell, the new Netflix UK six part series by Andrew Onwubolu aka Rapman, is about to redefine the superhero genre. Think of it as the all-Black X-Men show we’ve been craving, packed with action, drama, and superpowers. With an all-star cast featuring Tosin Cole from House Party 2023, Eric Kofi-Abrefa from BMF, and Adelayo Adedayo from “The Responder,” this show will be your radar this June 2024. Here’s everything you need to know about Supacell.
Big news for Gundam fans as Crunchyroll has announced it's bringing Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury and Cucuruz Doan's Island to Blu-Ray in September.
Definitely on my watch list. I heard The Witch From Mercury is a must watch for those beyond being a Gundam fan.
Possession films are a dime a dozen with tons of motion pictures about people spewing pea soup when those pesky demons occupy and live rent free in their bodies.
The ad on N4G sends you to the June contest details lol. Was so confused for a second :P Just a heads up.
Geez a couple of the grand prize options are interesting. Im curious to see what movie(s) the props, number 8 are from.
for secondary I vote movie tickets or amazon gift card. Since movie of your choice can always come back anytime it wants.
For an added idea. One night rental at Blockbuster or Redbox kiosk if you meet certain requirements? Its not really much, but I'm sure if you contacted them they would be all over the idea of sending them traffic.
I think the grand prize I'd like most is the blu-ray boxset/trilogy of your choice. I would totally be down for something like that.
I think it is cool that you guys allow folks to vote on what prizes should be dealt out. My picks in (popularity) order would be,
the Grand Prize list:
1. HDTV
2. Onkyo Audio Receiver
3. Home Theatre In a Box
4. Roku Box
5. Logitech Harmony Remote
Secondary:
1. Amazon Gift card
2. Blurays
3. Favorite Show Season on DVD
4. Movie Tickets
By the way, the HDTV you guys sent me was very ice, thank you very much. These are nice quality prizes. The Redbox kiosk idea is sounding pretty awesome. Even if it were just occasional discount codes for Filmwatch members.
This is great. My list would be:

5. 'Planet of the Apes' photo autographed by Charlton Heston
Secondary:
1. A season of your favorite show on DVD
2. Amazon gift card
3. Movie Tickets
4. Blurays
5. DVDs/Blu-rays
ROKU PLAYER!!!
