Universal Pictures is in talks to make Kick-Ass 2, with Jeff Wadlow directing his script. I’m told the intention is to get the film in production by August. Discussions are just getting underway with such original castmembers as Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and they will have to be signed to new deals to reprise their roles.

If they can;t get Chloe Moretz to reprise her role, I'm gonna be PISSED! That kid was awesome in Kick Ass. I only wish they could have gotten production under way much sooner because of the time that's passed, they'll have to change up the story to some degree to account for her being older.
Wasn't aware it was a 'franchise'. The story was pretty self contained imo. Wouldn't be the first time the man god Nicholas Cage escaped the depths of hell.
I'd like them to explore the later story arcs of the comics.
