IGN - Alcatraz has not only been struggling in the ratings department but it's also had a hard time keeping me awake. The monotony of Alcatraz as a procedural sci-fi drama has been disappointing to say the least. An intriguing premise quickly wasting away due to uninteresting characters and an uninspired structure. I've given the show a fair shake, even liked an episode or two, but Alcatraz has started to become a tough watch and that's unfortunate. However, "The Ames Brothers" is a glimmer of hope that is a good example of the show's potential when the format is played with.
