Deadline says:
Fox is doubling its bet on Mike Royce. A month after the network handed out a cast-contingent pilot order to Little Brother, a multi-camera comedy written by the former Everybody Loves Raymond executive producer, the network has bought a second multi-camera comedy project from Royce in a competitive situation with CBS. The untitled show, which has received a script commitment with penalty, centers on a two-earner couple that tries to uncompromisingly “have it all” and therefore is always compromising. 20th Century Fox TV, where Royce is under an overall deal, is producing, with Royce writing and executive producing. This is a very quick turnaround for UTA-repped Royce, who made a late entry into the development season with his September overall deal at 20th TV. That followed the cancellation of TNT’s Men Of A Certain Age, his series with Ray Romano.
