Since the explosion of MMA/UFC gaining a mainstream audience in 2006/07, it was only a matter of time until the full contact sport hit the silver screen. With similar films punching in at high standards, Warrior was perhaps at a disadvantage from its release due to people’s expectations. Although it wasn’t based on a true story like ‘The Fighter’ or ‘Rocky’ , Warrior still manages to tell a strong story of brotherhood, passion and betrayal.
