Well like the director said in one of his interviews; some people won't understand it because they were raised with a silver spoon. Their is real emotion in this movie. Anger beyond you and I could comprehend.

yes, Sprski film is a piece of art. if you can't see beyond the surface, that is your own loss. this is a great tale, a superb, SUPERB analogy, full of great acting, and, yes, some very unpleasant imagery.

there's more to it than shock. even The Human Centipede (first sequence) had more to it than shock value. if it were a creature of pure shock, you'd have seen more nudity and actual fecal matter leaking through the sutures of segment #2's mouth.

serbian film, in its edited form, it's not pure shock. the american release, which will cut one minute, cut the minute that cannot be shown here in the states, the actual depiction of what's on the video, the *** **** porn. from what i've read, the effects used to create this (no babies were raped, supposedly) were pretty awful. so just knowing it's there, but not seeing it, it works that much more.

no one will ever force you to watch it, but the more you denounce it due to your own prejudices, the less people will take you seriously. i'm looking forward to the USA release so i can get my 3rd viewing of the film in.
