Usually never a good sign at all. This means they got a few bad reviews from some major critics and now don't want to spread it so fast.

Well that's not being very fair or open minded...don't you think? It's one thing to see something and give the world your honest opinion but to just push it aside like it doesn't even exist isn't right.

It had red flags for a while. The studio kept pushing back the release date then converted it to 3D. They plan to get what they can opening weekend and then make what they can overseas and on DVD. The funny thing is with international markets and DVD it is sure to make money so why not show it to us? If it is so bad you are worried about reviews, perhaps its a sign not to release it.

I didn't see anything about it that would show me any reason not to release it....no more than some of the other movies like this. I'm sure it's going to be very graphic and gory but we've seen plenty of that in movies recently. It deals with religion and we've seen plenty of that too.

We'll have to wait and see what they decide to do.

It is coming out thats not the issue. The problem is by not screening it for press, it gives the impression it is not a very good film and as such they are trying to get a good opening and not be damaged by negative reviews. I am writing an article on it now and will have it posted in about 30 min.
