Sorry but it just pisses me off when people donate to stupid things like this its not funny at all. Why put money into the pockets of someone who has more money than you will make in a lifetime? Ah I guess some people will never learn.

He may be pretty bad now, but you can't tell me with a straight face that his first 3 movies were bad.

Hell even The Village has some interesting stuff, but I understand why some think it is terrible.

I remember reading a comment about Shyamalan on another site which I think was spot on... He seems to have been cooking his first 3 ideas for years. Thinking carefully and building every one with attention to detail etc. Then after he finally showed those ideas to the world, he went completely empty.

Now, he doesn't really have the time to cook a story like he probably did his whole life with the first 3 movies and now that he has to come up with new ideas in a short time, the result is a very shitty one.

How many of you people commenting on here have written something themselves, presented it to a movie studio and then directed the movie, which went on to make millions of dollars and was critically successful? Oh, that's right none of you. He is not talentless, he has just not been able to make any movies that hit audiences like the 6th sense. Just because it's "cool" to hate him everyone jumps on the band wagon. Have his movies not been the best lately, yeah. Talentless hack I think not. To the one who wrote that at least his he knows how to construct a grammatically correct sentence. Man people amaze me with their ignorance and stupidity.

Why would people donate money to this person, who probably already has alot of money? if you're going to donate, donate to an important cause where people actually NEED money like the japan relief, red cross, etc.

While I'm on the "bandwagon" of Shyamalan detractors, I don't think re-enrolling in film school is the answer. He needs to refine his style, adapt to changing narratives. He proved his talent with The Sixth Sense, but then proceeded to diminish that "talent" woefully by going back to the well, wielding the same stale tricks (which has persisted for a decade now). Versatility is the key to any great filmmaker, especially contemporary directors. It's good to have your trademarks and styling touches, but if they don't contribute or reflect the narrative/pacing/tone, they won't work.

The guy makes enough money to pay for his own film school. He isn't like college kids like me where we have to get a crappy job and live off loans. Then when we are done, still fight our way into the Hollywood door....

He had his chances, those chances SUCKED, and now im not watching anything with his name on it. End of story.

Yeah he hasn't come up with anything of substance since Signs as far as I'm concerned.
