The ABC Television Network’s contract to carry the annual Academy Awards presentations has been extended for six more years, though 2020, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ President Tom Sherak and Anne Sweeney, President of the Disney/ABC Television Group, announced today.

I think its kinda like the comic con. They have grown to be one with another, why move it? San diego comic con wouldnt be the same if it were moved to LA, giving San Diego a playing card in the deal. Same goes for ABC here.
Darn. I was hoping they would end. ABC likes to interrupt the telecast with too many commercials which drag the whole thing down.
