I felt pretty much the same with this movie. Though I wouldn't go so far as to say it's one of the funniest. Sure, I laughed on several accounts. Never just "make my side hurt" type laughing though. And sometimes it was more of a chuckle than laugh-out-loud.
The story was indeed boring. The writing on this one was just weak. And what sucked was the funniest parts of the movie for me, I had already seen in the trailers before even going to the theater to watch this one.
On a side note: anybody NOT seen this one yet?
How do people keep giving this 5's and 6's. Give me a break seriously. It's better than that.
Galifinakis (whoever the hell you spell that crazy name) isn't all that funny. Sure he's alright and better than most but he's not that great. To me this movie looks like a modernized Planes, Trains and Automobiles which I have very fond memories of (picked up by the balls anyone? lol). I'll probably check it out sometime when it's on TV.
This movie at most was a 7. The thing that bought it down was the plot in the middle, and the lasckluster performance by the characters.
