“Blood Dolphins,” the Animal Planet documentaries by Ric O’Barry of "The Cove" - that premiered last month in the U.S. -- will not get an airing on the Japanese version of the channel.
“We don’t show all the content from Animal Planet in America, and we won’t be showing that program,” a staffer at Animal Planet Japan told The Hollywood Reporter, “Our audience is largely made up of women and children, so we tend to focus on programs with cute animals.”
