Len Wiseman to Direct Total Recall

Len Wiseman is in final negotiations to direct a “contemporized adaptation” of Total Recall, which was based on the story, “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick - the book that spawned the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger film. Last year, Columbia Pictures hired Kurt Wimmer to pen the remake. Neal H. Moritz will produce through his Original Film banner (yes, a company called Original Films is in the remake business).

I'd really been wondering why this film hadn't been remade yet.

This worries me a little.
Wimmer hasn't written the type of suspense that was seen in the original Total Recall and Wisemen's resume doesn't exactly instill confidence in a similar regard.

But he has Five kids to feed, actually I don't know how many kids he has, if any at all.

I just hope they get Jerry Goldsmith to do the music again.
