Couldn't they make Finn a Jedi too? I mean, they gave so many hints at him being a strong male character in Force Awakens when he used the lightsaber but now he's just the who's not the best pilot, nor the best shooter and isn't the protagonist jedi either. Really, what's Finn role now?

^ What this dude is saying. Kennedy and Johnson have masterfully wrecked the new trilogy. Most of the setup from TFA has been ignored or rewritten, Luke is handled disgustingly against character, and the only thing going on, is Disney trying to cater to children in the hopes, that the merchandise will sell to a new generation.... They have literally broken the fandom of one the biggest cinematic franchises, so congratulations and go to hell.

I mean, think about it, just one example would be the Finn and Rose subplot. Besides being little more than agenda driven plotpoints and Rose falling in love within 12 hours or so, the actual subplot could have not been there, and the outcome would be the same, with no fallout whatsoever.... How's that for good screenplay :P
