As it celebrates its 70th birthday, Cannes Film Festival is finally recognising that TV has become just a bit good these days, and included Twin Peaks and Top of the Lake in its line-up. However, it’s still mainly all about the movies, with this year even including a few you’ll be able to see soon on Netflix: Bong Joon-ho’s weird monster movie Okja and Noah Baumbach’s comedy The Meyerowitz Stories. And while the line-up is still dominated by films you probably won’t see at your local multiplex, over the years there’s still been plenty which you actually want to watch. Here’s our rundown of the best Cannes movies you should watch now.
