Aziz Ansari fans, clear your schedules — the second season of “Master of None” was released on Friday, and it is fully worth binge-watching.
“Master of None” follows Dev (played by Ansari), a 30-year-old Indian actor navigating through life in New York. His experiences range from intimate issues to larger cultural ones. Famously, the series pilot begins with Dev buying an emergency contraceptive after a one-night stand, and later attending a child’s birthday party. Later, race and the lack of Indian representation in the entertainment industry become major themes throughout both seasons. As a result, “Master of None” is reliably relatable, speculative, and insightful — all without losing a sense of humor.
