AVClub: Veep returns for its fifth season with “Morning After,” and boy is it great to have the show back. Creator Armando Iannucci may have moved on, but the show is in good hands. The cast knows these characters implicitly and bringing back director Chris Addison, who has helmed several of the series’ best episodes, ensures visual and stylistic continuity as Veep starts this new chapter. Showrunner David Mandel stays true to the sarcastic, unmerciful heart of the series and in doing so, sets the stage for what should be another entertaining and memorable season.
