Variety: Paramount’s comedy “Daddy’s Home” has launched solidly with $1.2 million at 1,920 U.S. locations in Christmas Eve previews.
The movie, which reunites Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg five years after their partnership on “The Other Guys,” is on pace to pull in from $20 million to $22 million over the weekend at 3,271 sites. It’s expected to finish second behind the second weekend of “The Force Awakens,” which could pull in anywhere from $140 million to $180 million.
