411 Mania - "Well, Gotham is back to being fairly average. This episode, which has a few solid moments, is tonally all over the place: again, the violence and cartoony nature really does not mesh. And things, like the Nygma and Penguin sub-plot, are setting up for future events, making this just feel like pointless filler. Let’s just hope the Order of St. Dumas can be an engaging antagonist."
Overall, House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 1 becomes a key player when it comes to the storyline for this season. The episode has opened a huge number of doors to reach several conclusions.
