As a miniseries summer event, Wayward Pines was a fun foray into television for M. Night Shyamalan and Matt Dillon fans alike. Thanks to strong acting, a quick pace and plenty of questions and answers to keep up the intrigue, it was a perfect summer drama for those wanting a serialized event. While the show stumbled at times in terms of easy outs and the development of certain characters, by the end it came full circle in an unanticipated finale that left viewers talking.
