Deadline: Michael B. Jordan has been cast in Broad Green Pictures’ adaptation of Just Mercy: A Story Of Justice and Redemption, the best-selling memoir by author Bryan Stevenson. Like the book, the film will recount renowned civil rights defense attorney Stevenson as fought to free a condemned death row prisoner. The true story is one of redemption, passion and mercy set contrasted against a corrupt judicial system that favors the death penalty and unfairly targets the poor. Jordan will star as Stevenson.
