WC: While few film fans would outright have expected Terminator Genisys to be good, there was certainly cause to hope that it could be thanks to the potential of the property. Unfortunately, we were instead left with a cluttered, thinly-written blockbuster that seemed even further away from the things that made the franchise such a hit in the first place.
But regardless of the film’s critical failings, or its inability to capture a huge audience, the producers were never shy about their plans for this to set up a new trilogy. And with an official release date already announced, it’s a safe bet to think that Terminator 6 will soon be an unfortunate reality.
