Why Do Marvel Want Us To Be Sexually Aroused By Aunt May?

WC

Classically, Peter Parker’s elderly Aunt May has been played by suitably elderly women. Rosemary Harris was 74 in the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man, and the Amazing reboot saw then-65-year-old Sally Field replace her. Pretty standard.

Sexually aroused? Someone doesn't have any standards at all

Crazay3214d ago

MArissa is a smoke show man.

Aldous_Snow3214d ago

She's like 50 years old and will probably be a granny and gained more wrinkles by the time the movie is released anyway lol.

I don't see what the fuss is about.

You;re right she is 50 but you can't deny how good looking she is for a woman of 50. Personally I prefer the lady who played Aunt May in Raimi's movies. She was perfect.

You have to think of the age of the kid who is playing Spiderman. Why would a 14 or 15 year old have a 65 year old Aunt, unless his parents are really old.

Actually my uncle is 20 years younger than my mom. It happens. People don't just randomly stop having sex because their kids reach a certain age.

I'll be honest I'd be bitter as hell lol. Nice to see he's staying classy about the whole thing. It's a shame it didn't work out for him, his Peter was meh, but his Spider-man was spot on. Costume looked great, comedic timing and physique were on point! Shame he couldn't be in a better set of movies.

Jon Watts on His Childhood Love of Spider-Man

CS

Every year, the Sundance Film Festival introduces a number of talented filmmakers to the world and while Cop Car wasn’t Jon Watts’ first feature, it made enough of an impact that it helped him score possibly one of the most coveted and prestigious (or nerve-wracking, depending on who you ask) filmmaking gigs available when he was hired to direct Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland in the lead role.
