EB: The fifth season of AMC’s The Walking Dead came to a close last evening with “Conquer,” which surprisingly lacked the usual shock and awe moments that this series has become known for after the previous four season finales. It wasn’t bad by any means, it just didn’t feature a major character death, or a serious change of pace for Rick and his group like previous seasons. It mainly served as one big setup for Season 6, and hardly resolved many of the issues that have been raised since the group moved into Alexandria, which now seems to be in a state of disarray thanks to Gabe’s open door incident, and Pete’s inability to use a katana like Michonne.
